The Game starts with the main character of the game looking for his wife, and it flashes back to her being taken away with the protagonist beaten on the floor, with some wrestling relations included.
Its got a western /Mexican lucho setting and a bar brawl straight out of a set that has been done a thousand times. There is a lot of comedy as well as serious moments that follow the game and its story. Take a look at the gameplay, as I can only sum it up as a Samurai Jack Game with a 18 age Certificate, oh and did I mention it has some serious polished HD Visuals.

Sega readying crossover adaptations of upcoming PSP title

Andriasang reports Sega is planning not only a television conversion for the spinoff but also a good Yakuza manga serving.  Apparently Sega is not planning anime of Yakuza but instead, the showing will be live action.

Main character Tatsuya Ukyo (center) is portrayed by stage, television and movie actor Takumi Saito. Other cast members include Hideo Ishiguro and Takuya Ishida (Andriasang)

Sega will also be producing the manga adaptation of the game with the help of manga artist, Yukai Asada.  The manga will feature an original story with Kamurocho as the setting and the ‘Dragon Heat Tournament’ as the manga’s main focus.

Looks like Tatsuya Ukyo is taking over Kazuma Kiryu’s position as the Yakuza’s poster boy.  For me this is a welcome change, and I am personally looking forward to both anime and live action series.  The tv will begin as 11 part drama which will air every Tuesday night on TBS and MBS starting October 5 followed by rental downloads from the Playstation Store.  The manga will be serialized  in the 9/18 issue of Weekly Young Magazine (issue number 42).

Get ready for some  Tag fight action, In Dragon Ball Tag for the PSP handheld gaming system.

This new DBZ game allows 2 on 2 battles across many stages of the Dragon Ball universe. The game’s character list is still not finalised but expect more trailers to follow revealing more of the cast. Players can battle wirelessly in local PSP Ad hoc mode but Infrastructure is not confirmed as of yet, knowing the track record for online PSP games you can be rest assured that it’s at least a high chance. You can still use 3^rd party infrastructure programs to connect to other gamers online such as Ad hoc Party is available on PSN. This method allows the PS3 to work as a bridge between other PSP users, allowing online play on Ad hoc only Games. First segments of Game play has been released so we hope you enjoy it.
Namco Bandai are releasing some further trailers up to the final build that will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2010.

A brief article on retributive justice.

The above article got me thinking about this retributive justice punishment system we have in the world.  Is it vengeful hypocritical idiocy from a bygone age of barbarism?  Or is it cost saving solution to deal with the crime rates and the rising prison population?

For

Potentially good if it is carried out within reasonable limits?  For example with the article above, paralysed victim has to live with the paralysis for the rest of their life, the offender would extremely likely never re-offend if they themselves were crippled and came to understand the damage that they caused.  But carrying outs such as this is deemed inhumanely and fall prey to human error.  A solution for this is the punishment should be temporary, with the offender reversibly paralysed for a fixed period.  What does this achieve?  The offender will feel the pain of the victim, and as stated before, the offender will be less likely to repeat this offense.  The offender should be solely punished excluding the offender’s family and friends.

Against

Blatantly against human rights which will cause international outcry.  And if you’re willing to impart such injury upon a criminal, aren’t you on the same level?  People are vulnerable to get consumed by revenge which has a negative effect on their judgment.

Some hold the belief that society should move away from the “eye for an eye” revenge mentality if civilization is to advance.   It sends the wrong message: why kill people who kill people to show killing is wrong.  Life in prison is a worse punishment and a more effective deterrent.  The prisoner’s family must suffer from seeing their loved one put to death by the state, as well as going through the emotionally-draining appeals process.  Also the possibility exists that innocent men and women may be put to death. Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito Scan

From what we know from this source, is that the form of this anime has not been set in stone.  It could be a theartical release, television series or OVA.  It can be any.  My best bet is, that it might become a television series given the success of its precessors.  The official title for this anime is ‘Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito’, which reveals the anime will be a side story as Gaiden translates into ‘tale’ or ‘side story’.  You can view the trailer below in HD, although it doesn’t show much, there is a translation below for you get a better idea of the forthcoming anime has to offer.

Could this game be an Uncharted 2 rip off, new information has surfaced of a PC game coming out september, it is an action packed game using the technology and raw power of gaming PC’s to reproduce the level of immersion and intensity of Uncharted 2? Hmm… or is it just trying to immitate last years Game of the Year?

Look at the box art for the game, You have Tensen on the left, You got Nathan Drake holding Chloe in his arms and then the pissed off reporter Elena on the sidelines, This is serious LOL.

Whats going on people. This gets even funnier, notice how Tensen has a goatee and so does that dude on the left of the Lost Horizon box art, and lets not forget to mention about the ethnicity of the feller, or lets just skip that because it’s quite obvious.

Drake

Lets talk about Drake, I laughed hard on this one, look at the Gear, hes wearing the same bloody top, and holding his woman, you know, Drake holding Chloe like in uncharted 2 the game? Am I grasping at straws? I think not.

Chloe

This one has pretty much all the features as Chloe for looks, this is either extremely coincidental or an extreme rip off. You decide.

Elena

Are we still doing this, yes we are, why? well its sooo uncanny, I think the developers at Deep Silver couldn’t resist and did this as an inside joke, you got Elena the type of character with hair tied in a pony tail and she’s blond. Just Great.

Yes there has been countless rumours with this one, but word has it, is that Mass Effect might be announced at Gamescom via EA or Sony according to a NeoGAF user ‘De-Mon’.  This Mass Effect maybe titled as ‘Mass Effect: Genesis’. We assume it will contain Mass Effect 1 and 2 on a single Blu-Ray for Playstation owners to enjoy and familiarise themselves with the world of Mass Effect before the impending release of Mass Effect 3.  If it is true, well then its about damn time.  EA acquired Bioware Studios in 2007 and ever since then, speculation has been rampant of its multi-platform release.  I never played Mass Effect, but if this rumour holds weight and becomes true, then I may buy it or rent it since I have never played a proper Western RPG.

The rumour also mentions that it maybe announced at Gamescom or in print magazines a few weeks later.  I’m assuming Mass Effect Genesis will also bring extra content compared to the original versions.
