Synopsis

In the sci-fi thriller Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth, releasing a biomechanical monster to search escape groups.

Film Details

The new trailer brings us new footage compared to the original trailer, specifically the trailer shows the extraterrestrials beings who have come to Earth, and how they seek domination.

The film is directed by the Strause Brothers who have directed Alien Vs Predators Requiem and have previously worked on Avatar, Titanic and 300. They specialise in visual effects so expect to see an abundance of eye candy.

The cast of this film encompasses small time actors who are barely known to the average movie fan, so it seems that the Strause brothers will be using their science fiction and visuals to attract the movie crowd.

What I find surprising is the movie is reported to be budgeted around $9 million and $20 million.  The budget size seems so low for this type of film, but it has garnered a huge amount of interest which will most likely be a financial success for Universal Pictures.

The film is set for a November 12, 2010 release.
