Hakuouki Season 2 Announced

This comes at a great suprise as I initially suspected this anime show was a one off 12 episode show.  At the end of the final episode of the first season, Hakuouki season 2 was announced.  If you look at the preview, it seems most of the main characters costumes have become slightly westernized.  Just like Hajime Saitou stated ‘it’s not the age for Katana’. This opens up possibility for a new gun fighting action in the upcoming season (I prefer the traditional swords). Anyway, check the video below to get a better idea of what season 2 will shape up to be.

If you dont know about Hakuouki, you can find the synopsis below.  It has a great cast of characters, but the only gripe I have with it, is the main female character.  Helpless and fustrating on a constant basis.  Anyway, give this show a try, as I thoroughly enjoyed it due to my fascination with samurais, japan and its culture.  The show is  also similar to Rurouni Kenshin in terms of setting and characters.

Based on Idea Factory’s romance adventure game: Yukimura Chizuru has come to Kyoto looking for her father, a doctor who has gone missing. While there, she witnesses a fight between Rasetsu and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody, the Shinsengumi debates on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. The Shinsengumi then takes Chizuru along on their search after the missing doctor, from adventures to adventures.
